Mike Caddell: "The fallens' thought crimes"

People are doing “it,” but not fast enough in the U. S. A.

The Australian Labor Party’s landslide victory will prove to be a polite harbinger of that facing the UK rebellion firing up against Prime Minister Brown. How soon will citizens dump that Texas mange-ridden poodle Blair made of Labor in Britain?

While massive financial shockwaves are falling upon us; the working and small business people, with food and fuel prices ready to soar into the winter – revolt is rightfully in the air. It doesn’t have to be this way, our elected leaders could just hold the damn hearings and let the people watch C-span while in session and let the kids in the country get an education, while the adults start to act like adults and learn what crooked bastards are running our government. The better to have our leaders afraid of being frog marched from the White House toward prison, than start a catastrophic war with Iran.

The big question – how will Americans dump their own royally rotten dynastic national leaders? Imagine two powerful guns with their hammers cocked on an ethereal table in this country. The guns are posed pointing barrel to barrel across the table by the dueling contestants.

One hair trigger, Bush and Cheney sit poised with their fingers over the buttons to launch a massive technological tsunami of death and destruction against Iran, all the armaments and supplies are in place around the Persian Gulf region. I tend to agree with some that the initial attacks will be so swift during a new moon that many in this country will panic with the shock. Watch for more pre-Iraq invasion propaganda salvoes after the “peace” negotiations in Annapolis to gauge how soon that gun goes off.

The second pistol set on a harder trigger pull, lies in the collective hands of an organized grassroots movement pushing everyone toward public investigations and hearings for impeachment. National polls, petition drives, letter writing to newspapers, campus poster campaigns – it still isn’t enough to convince congressional delegates. Everyone thinks there still is enough time to turn the country around.

Impeachment holds the only prospect for slowing the rapid pace of unraveling foreign policy, financial ruin and government run by terror at home. I’ll go so far as to say that even the constant drum roll for investigations toward impeachment is good for our collective reputation in the world as a democratic constitutional republic.

Old Time Republicans who still believe in individual liberty and privacy in their castles are yelling for the heads of the Busheviks? Count those still giving King George standing ovations and defending the “global war on terror” as those for national suicide.

A number of my Republican readers out there thought I was crazy to support impeachment over a year ago, after realizing just how crooked this regime is about war and petroleum. Many aren’t so sure I’m crazy now.

The Democratic - leaning sports in my circle, drunk on the likely prospects of winning in the 2008 elections said impeachment “would never happen.” After all, they weren’t going to support it. I actually have had a number tell me with worried faces, that by writing letters supporting impeachment to congressional reps, they feared being put on security watch lists. Now if that isn’t a good example of cowardice among the fear-filled rugged free individual Americans, what is?

Give a big tough clodhopper a writing pen, corner him and quietly talk to him; after agreeing with the crimes, acknowledging his duties as a citizen, hand him the clipboard and pen and he melts like chicken fat in a soup pot full of leeks. He can’t sign that petition paper; else trouble will come his way.

Fear stupefying the national psyche; panicked terror, fear of foreign folks trying to immigrate, of economic ruin and energy scarcity, even fear that the power elites “did” the suicide attacks of 9/11, as if it mattered anymore. Every historic twist and turn of this current administration the savage critter keeps scaring the daylights out of folks.

I didn’t fall off the turnip truck yesterday. I know that most Republicans should rightfully fear the same dictatorial powers Bush/Cheney has made when put in the hands of Democrats after 2008. My only response to those refusing to stand up on their hind legs as citizens and right this sinking ship of state, is: “Why should we wait until they throw us into the ditches to shoot us before joining along with many from across the country in demanding an end to this regime of predators? The remedy is in the U. S. constitution, fer chrissakes! It’s legal and doesn’t require a damn dangerous insurrection.”

The tools for initiating a fascist regime are “on the table” using the words of a smart old guy. You know the litany of miseries, lies and crimes against the people. Can we stop them before 2008 and why shouldn’t we try by every legal channel available?

They wouldn’t do that, would they?
What should be politically rising among lukewarm liberals in the United States appears to be falling apart; one smart leader will not turn this runaway crisis around. Isn’t this merely yet another symptom of the fear that paralyzes the loyal opposition?

Maybe even the vaunted official, legal and popular representatives in the opposition are in such a state of fear that they are worried for their existence, too? What a pack of wild hyenas after a hog they’ve become. And for them to keep us in the dark, for so long, to start a deceptive, bloody and global energy scramble and call it a “Global War on Terror” – these are real traitors to humanity and the planet.

Scottie just beamed in…
Will former White House press secretary, Scottie McClellan now confessing to his “unknowing” play at spreading bloody lies for war criminals, as shocking as it is, will his revelations stir the chattering pimps, prostitutes and parrots of the corporate press? Enough to chatter about it somewhere on cable television or any other news shows?
Or will they just sell books for him next April?

Is it that important?
The oft exaggerated and heavily propagandized “American Dream” is on a very short run and we are driving through the dead-end barricades at the fastest posted speed limit. The ones that have the power, our leaders, are not coming clean on this grand deception and the Democrats’ king pins are in on the scam. They, like their political opposites, live in plush bunkers, travel in heavily armed convoys and enjoy luxury far beyond the understanding of the average Joe or Jill working at the fast food service counters. These bastards are stealing everything while preparing to further enslave us tomorrow. Face it, most of the Big Money Republicans and Democrats don’t give a damn if most of us are looking at a lifetime of mortgaged debt, deteriorating health, eventual bankruptcy to be trucked out of the shack by our kids stiff on the kitchen table planks to a pauper’s grave.

You might be one of the folks who thought that the United States could call the world our plum. Have you f*^@king woke up, yet? Instead the U. S. is looking, as a nation of consumers, more like the psychopath Cody Jarrett in the movie “White Heat” standing on top of a tank of petro-chemicals yelling, “Look Ma, I’m on top of the world!”

Kaboom!

The actor James Cagney, like us as a nation, never really outlived the gangster reputations. Blowback from our imperialist heydays when we supported and financed extremely violent manipulations of proxy states before and during the Cold War. Now we are ready to have the Busheviks deny us our “inalienable” rights and get scalped paying our energy and food bills while financing the largest military in the world.

Anyone with half a wit would have told us while racing to our “American Dream” that unlimited never-ending growth was always impossible, but we were just too busy scurrying around and yakking it up at the non-stop consuming circus events to concentrate.

Our failed government assumes dictatorial powers, even usurping basic 600 year-old rights to assembly and association, while wrapping the con-job up in the Bible and the Stars and Stripes. A law that many are calling akin to prohibiting thought crimes has been sponsored by a woman calling herself, no less a Democrat..

God how stupid do our leaders think we are?

God with leaders like this just how stupid are we?

The most inquisitive on the internet are telling us, but will their corporate fellows in the sky scrapers tell the many of this latest of historic betrayals, we have met the idiots and they is us.

The remedy is the same as last year when impeachment petition drives started at the grassroots. More than four hundred long days ahead for the corrupt leaders of this crumbling debt ridden empire to screw it up, again. That is a long time for this most dangerous of government administrations to be lock, stock and barrel in the hands of huge corporate campaign donors.

We're tired of being sold-out to the cheapest bidders.

We need to stop letting them run the government ... go on a general strike, shut'em down ... something goddamnit.

Fer Christ Sakes! Dump your political party membership - tell'em why you are going Independent.

Go ahead get pissed. Contact your congressional representatives, demand impeachment and scream for a real fight.

Thank you my name is Mike Caddell and I endorse this message.
